Gorgeous, centrally located, moderately priced, dog-friendly hotel in downtown Walla Walla. If you can’t be bothered to walk a block to explore Main Street, there’s a coffee shop and three wine tasting rooms in the premises, and they serve drinks in the lounge in the afternoon/evening. Can’t wait to see how the restaurant looks when it reopens. Rooms in the west wing are typical of chain hotels. Next time will try an upgrade to the rooms in the original historic building.

I am posting this as I fly 1500 miles for the house made sausage, now the buffet that was included in the room rate is replaced by coffee and pastries. They don’t even make the sausages anyone… One of the great hotel breakfasts is gone. You raised the rates and removed my favorite part of staying here. After a 15 year run, I will not be back.

Great location within walking distance of downtown shopping/dining/wining. The rooms are very nice, the restaurant is very nice, and we had excellent service. We stayed in the newer section of the hotel. The room itself is very spacious. The bathroom, however, is insanely TINY for the caliber of the hotel and the room rate.

Lobby is gorgeous. Front desk was kind. Employee in the bar was disinterested and turned away our custom when his answer to a question about the advertised premium cigars was a terse “i don’t know.” My room was not well appointed. It looked cheap, the furnishings were the quality of something you would see in a Days Inn or similar cheap hotel. The bathroom fixtures were worn and dated. The floor was not swept: there was still scattered bits of candy from a previous guest. Looked like Nerds, lol. I would not stay here again. Holiday inn has better rooms. The lobby is nice but I’m not hanging out there 🙄 also they don’t even give you full size pillows on your bed, what gives? They are square like couch pillows!! I want a real pillow!!

I award the Marcus Whitman five stars for Tom’s exceptional service. The hotel itself is a rarer example of tradition which will satisfy those seeking to compliment wine country with apt elegance. Tesla destination chargers were a very nice touch - although definitely in need of a little maintenance. The rooms themselves are elegant even if not staying in the tower. My constructive feedback is that the beds and bedding are not the best and AC units may wake you as they kick on and off with vigorous roar. Again though, Tom’s immaculate service made our stay.

Rooms 5/5: the lobby, halls and rooms have an elegant feel to them. Service 5/5: The 1 of 5 bars downstairs had great service and conversation. I don't remember which bar it was. Location 5/5: It is walking distance to restaurants. The parking seemed sort of tight for the size of hotel but we were able to get parking each time we came in.
